Who is Architect 25?

Foremost I am a person of many hobbies and interests, not limited to: music production, web design, photography, sociology and economics. I am not an expert in any of these things, but I pursue them out of passion.

I currently live in metro Detroit. I dislike winter in the most serious way. I am not a real architect of any variety. I have been accused of being a beer snob, but I don't think that's a fair description; I just know what I like and I stick to it (very hoppy India Pale Ales).

My musical tastes are varied. Alt-rock and electro house have been prominent throughout my listening lifetime. Five albums that top my personal list are: The Bends (Radiohead), Discovery (Daft Punk), Trust It (Junior Jack), Melody A.M. (Röyksopp), Give Up (The Postal Service).

I subscribe to the belief that many decades of Western financial corruption and political misidrection might soon culminate in a series of dramatic world events. The more immediate of those events, if they occur, are likely to be unpleasant.

I produce music on a desktop computer. I use Ableton Live for recording, mixing, mastering, and for its native instruments. An Akai APC 40 helps with the mixing process.

I put a bit of squeeze on my waveforms, as all producers should, but I am learning to keep the dynamic range more intact. For that reason, my recordings sound better with the volume level turned up (way up, whenever possible).
